General Summary

Reporting to the President, the Landscape Sales & Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Landscape Depot Department.  This position contributes to the success of the landscape depot by fostering Coast Aggregate’s corporate values in their work: finding solutions, working together and building communities.  Focused primarily on customer service this role will be responsible for advising customers on landscape depot materials, coordinating deliveries, dispatching trucks, resolving grievances and follow up sales calls.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide product knowledge to customers
  • Booking and coordinating all deliveries for the Landscape Depot
  • Booking, coordinating & dispatching of commercial dump trucks
  • Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with customers and landscape staff
  • Responds to customer emails and phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Follow up sales calls
  • Manage product levels and order materials from vendors
  • Daily communication with Landscape Depot & Administrative Staff
  • Assists with the development of landscape depot processes
  • Collaborate with marketing department to create promotions
  • Coordinate product knowledge training for landscape depot and administrative staff
  • Assist with loading and delivery of materials when necessary

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Customer Service role
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
  • Experience in horticulture, construction, sand & gravel, or trucking industry is preferred
  • Valid BC Driver’s License – Class 5

Work Environment
This job operates mostly in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines as well as may require the occasional use of a small wheel loader. This position occasionally spends time on project work sites in differing conditions to include inclement weather, slopes, grade changes, open ditches, and construction materials.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, with regular hours of Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm with a half hour for lunch. However, this position can occasionally require overtime hours and occasional Saturday’s. Travel during the work day to local job sites may be required.
